Libiao Robotics Expands Reach with New Singapore Headquarters

Introduction of the New Office

Libiao Robotics, a pioneer in automated warehouse storage systems and robotics, has recently opened a new office in Singapore. This facility will serve as the headquarters for their overseas operations, extending their innovative technology beyond China to the global market. Nestled in Perennial Business City, located within the Jurong Lake District—dubbed Singapore’s next central business district—the new office signifies an important milestone for the company as it looks to penetrate new markets and build strategic partnerships.

Official Launch Ceremony

On May 22nd, the ceremonial unveiling of the new office took place, marking a significant moment for Libiao Robotics. The event was graced by the company’s CEO and founder, Xia Huiling, along with CTO Zhu Jianqiang. Industry stakeholders, including long-time investor Hidden Hill Capital, attended the ceremony, showcasing the company’s strong backing. Notably, representatives from GLP, including Angela Zhao and Jerry Cai, highlighted the collaborative spirit of Libiao’s ventures.

The official opening featured a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, accompanied by a lively lion dance performance, embodying the rich cultural heritage of the region while wishing for prosperity and success at the new facility.

Libiao’s Vision and Philosophy

During the opening address, Xia Huiling articulated Libiao’s core philosophy: “Our philosophy is to solve challenges by supplying essential mechanisms, and not to keep providing patches to stick over the problems.” This statement captures the essence of what Libiao Robotics stands for—innovation through collaboration. By fostering a cooperative atmosphere among their partners, Libiao aims to not only meet but exceed customer expectations.

Dong Zhonglang, co-founder and managing partner of Hill House Capital, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the necessity of robotic technology in warehouse automation. He remarked on Libiao’s unique designs and their vision to "make the world more efficient," underscoring the long-term potential of such innovations.

Forums and Industry Insights

Following the grand opening, the company co-hosted a forum titled ‘Opportunity in Changes’ along with GLP. This forum delved into the complexities of modern global supply chains, discussing how emerging technologies like Libiao’s AirRob automated warehouse storage system can empower retailers and eCommerce businesses. With rising consumer expectations, the need for efficient logistics solutions is paramount, and Libiao’s technology stands poised to facilitate that transition.

Xiong Kaixin, Vice President of Commercial at GLP China, articulated the critical link between technological innovation and responsible investment practices. As a signatory of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), GLP is committed to ESG initiatives while promoting tech companies that contribute to carbon emission reductions and the global energy transition.

Sustainability and Innovation

Libiao’s operational capabilities promote energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness for businesses, making their technological solutions pertinent in today’s rapidly evolving market. The choice of location for the new office in Perennial Business City is particularly striking, as this area is known for being the first sustainable Super Low Energy business park in Jurong Lake District.

The premises are powered by renewable energy and outfitted with motion-sensors and LED lighting, thus aligning perfectly with modern sustainability standards. The Singapore Building and Construction Authority (BCA) has recognized this commitment by awarding the facility a Green Mark Platinum certification, further demonstrating Libiao’s dedication to environmentally-friendly practices.

Through its new Singapore headquarters, Libiao Robotics is poised to make substantial impacts on global supply chains, combining advanced technology with a commitment to sustainability. As the company expands its footprint outside China, it continues to position itself as a leader in warehouse automation, fostering a future where efficiency and responsibility go hand in hand.
