Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Company: KUKA Systems Corp. North America
Category: News
In the rapidly evolving world of automation, KUKA Robotics stands out as a pioneer of innovative solutions. The company is set to unveil its latest advancements at the Advanced Design & Manufacturing Expo (ADM) 2025, taking place from October 21-23 at the Toronto Congress Centre. Attendees can visit booth #1401 to experience live demonstrations in collaboration with Canadian partners DGT Solutions and OptiMach.
Innovative Automation on Display
KUKA will exhibit its ultra-compact KR 6 R500 Z200-2 SCARA robot, a groundbreaking model capable of achieving cycle times of under 0.36 seconds. This four-axis machine, with a maximum payload of 6 kg and a reach of 500 mm, is designed to handle tasks with precision and speed. Its unique combination of rotational joints and linear movement in the Z-axis makes it an ideal solution for various applications, including the capping of small spray bottles.
The KR SCARA series caters to a wide range of industries, demonstrating versatility with multiple payloads, reaches, and Z-axis strokes. Notably, an HO variant is available to ensure safe integration in applications within the food and beverage sector.
Seamless Integration with DGT Solutions
DGT Solutions, a trusted KUKA System Partner since 2003, will enhance the demonstration by showcasing an intuitive bottle capping cell using the KUKA.WorkVisual engineering suite. This powerful tool streamlines the automation process by offering offline development, online diagnostics, and maintenance capabilities throughout commissioning. By checking program code for logic errors, DGT Solutions aims to facilitate more efficient project implementation.
Smart Welding with OptiMach
A second demonstration will feature a collaboration with OptiMach. Attendees will witness advanced smart welding using the KUKA KR10 R1440-2 robot, bolstered by real-time vision and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The setup includes virtual scanning to analyze parts and dynamically adjust welding paths, removing the need for complex coding or CAD drawings. This plug-and-play industrial robotic cell makes advanced automation accessible to users of all skill levels.
Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)
In addition to the live demonstrations, KUKA’s booth will also highlight stationary Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). These robots represent the next step in mobile automation solutions, emphasizing the company’s commitment to developing technologies that enhance efficiency and productivity in various settings.
