Revolutionizing Colorectal Cancer Treatment: Join the EndoTheranostics Team
About Us
At King’s College London, we are at the forefront of medical innovation, seeking a proactive and collaborative Post Doctoral Research Associate to join our multi-national ERC Synergy Programme, EndoTheranostics. Our mission is to revolutionize the treatment and screening of colorectal cancer (CRC) through state-of-the-art technology and robust interdisciplinary collaboration.
Operating within the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences, this role allows you to work alongside a dynamic team of experts in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, robotics, and medical imaging. Our collective goal is to develop cutting-edge AI-assisted robots that enhance colorectal cancer treatment, making a significant impact on patient care.
About The Role
The EndoTheranostics project is pioneering a transformative approach to CRC management by incorporating a novel soft-tip growing eversion robot equipped with advanced capabilities. This innovative system integrates robotics with multimodal imaging and AI-assisted diagnostics, facilitating safer and more effective screening and therapeutic interventions.
As a key member of our research team, your primary focus will revolve around the development and application of advanced computer vision and machine learning techniques. These methodologies will be critical for multimodal imaging and real-time analysis during colorectal cancer screenings and treatments. You will contribute significantly to the design of AI algorithms that enhance polyp detection, tissue characterization, and provide visual guidance during robotic interventions.
This full-time position is a fixed-term contract for two years, with you playing a central role in a groundbreaking initiative.
