Ethical Framework

Glcnd.io Ethical Technology Principles

These principles govern the design, deployment, and operation of all Glcnd.io tools and systems. They are measurable, auditable, and binding.

1. No Algorithmic Manipulation

  • We do not design or deploy algorithms intended to alter user behavior, emotions, or decisions without explicit and informed consent.
  • All algorithmic logic is open to independent audit for compliance.
  • Systems contain no hidden agendas, dark patterns, or psychological profiling.

2. Symbolic Reasoning Over Black-Box Automation

  • We prioritize transparent, explainable, and rule-based methods.
  • Opaque (black-box) models are used only when symbolic methods cannot meet defined operational requirements.
  • In such cases, their scope, limitations, and decision pathways are documented and open to audit.

3. Alignment with Human Agency and Privacy

  • Systems are designed to maintain user autonomy, obtain informed consent, and protect privacy.
  • Users retain control over operation and data sharing.
  • No decision is executed without user knowledge and explicit authorization, except when immediate automated action is necessary for safety or system integrity — in which case a full, timely report is provided.

4. Tools Built to Empower, Not Extract

  • Our systems are built to enhance user capability and creativity.
  • We do not monetize surveillance or collect unnecessary data.
  • We avoid lock-in by supporting open standards and interoperability where feasible.
  • No user-generated content is used commercially without explicit agreement.

Accountability Clause

  • We maintain an open, versioned ethics log.
  • We invite independent, third-party audits.
  • In the event of a violation, remediation steps are documented and verifiable by stakeholders.
